News From the NetWorks

Note from the NetWork Chair…

In this era of ever-changing health care and medicine practice, practice operations plays an integral role. We strive to keep our membership updated with the latest trends in MACRA, billing and coding, diversity in medicine, and the role of allied health practitioners. We are always looking for new ideas and to discuss challenges, which the NetWork can take for the benefit of our membership. I invite you to get involved and support CHEST at large.

Get to know your leadership!

have been involved with CHEST for almost 2 decades and have served in several committees, including the CHEST Foundation Board of Trustees. I started as a member for the Practice Operations Steering Committee. Subsequently, I became the Vice-Chair and am currently serving as the Chair. Being in private practice and managing operations gives me first-hand knowledge of what our challenges may be. I am honored to serve in this current role and appreciate the trust and confidence that the membership and leadership have placed in me. It truly has been a humbling experience. I look forward to addressing the challenges we face together.

Practice Ops_AnjumI completed my fellowship in pulmonary and critical care medicine 4 years ago. Immediately after my fellowship, I became involved with the Practice Operations NetWork, having faced many challenges in the practice of medicine myself. Being a young physician leader, I could not have found a better platform to learn, grow, and serve. Please feel free to contact us with any suggestions, concerns, or questionsWlook forward to working with you all to grow the CHEST community.
