News From the NetWorks

Note from the NetWork Chairs…

Greetings from the Critical Care NetWork! These are very exciting times while we are in the final stages of content development for CHEST Annual Meeting 2019. The Critical Care NetWork oversees a large portion of the annual meeting, and this year we some fantastic high-quality submissions. Don’t miss the February issue of CHEST Physician, which includes an interesting commentary by Critical Care NetWork Steering Committee members on the PREVENT trial, “Mechanical ventilation: Does one size fit all?” This is certainly a topic that has sparked some controversy!

Our NetWork is involved in the proposal and development of guidelines as subject matter experts, and we are exploring options to develop enduring educational materials that could be easily accessible to our members. Stay tuned as there will be more to come in this area.

Our very active NetWork needs YOU! We would like to recruit talented individuals who would like to get more involved with CHEST and our NetWork. Even if you can’t get involved with the Network, we definitely welcome your input. Feel free to reach out to us with comments or suggestions. Stay tuned for the date of the Critical Care NetWork Open Forum and Featured Lecture at CHEST 2019 where you can meet the leadership of our NetWork and get involved.
