Winner of World’s ‘Best Contemporary Gin’, Sheringham’s Seaside Gin
Sipping Seaside - The Best In The World

Sheringham Distillery’s Seaside Gin has been named 'Best Contemporary Gin' in the World at the 2019 edition of the prestigious World Gin Awards.

Sheringham is the brainchild of Jason and Alayne MacIsaac. Their Seaside Gin was conceived while walking alongside the water at French Beach (near the distillery’s first home in Shirley, B.C.), with simultaneous aromas of nearby rose bushes (it was the end of Nootka rose season), the forest and the ocean. Visit their brand new distillery and tasting room in Sooke.

The couple recently announced a new addition to their spirit line up - Kazuki Gin. Perfectly fitting with Vancouver Island's blooming pale pink canopies, the gin is made with botanicals sourced locally and from Japan, including Japanese Cherry Blossoms and Green Tea + Flowers from Westholme Tea Farm in the Cowichan Valley.

Noteworthy mention: Maybe it's thanks to our deep ties to the Monarchy that we make the best gin, but in addition to taking home Gold, another Vancouver Island spirit company, Victoria Distillers, took home a Silver Medal at the Wold Gin Awards!
