We are delighted to announce that Marriott has completed the integration of Starwood Hotels (SPG). This included the successful migration of all SPG branded hotels and brands from the SPG Central Reservation System (CRS) to the Marriott Central Reservation System. This communication is intended to update you on further action which may still be required by our TMC & Travel Agency partners to ensure accurate rate visibility within your booking channels.

For TMC & Travel Agency partners working on any GDS system:  If you come across any issues accessing certain rate types, properties, or other rate visibility challenges, please contact the Global Rate Support Team using the contact information below.

Note: The requested action below only applies to Sabre subscribers; no action is needed for Amadeus or Travelport (Apollo/Galileo/Worldspan) subscribers.

As part of the integration, it was necessary to rebuild some of your security translation tables (HST) and Client ID tables (HIC). We have received feedback from our mutual customers reporting isolated rate visibility issues where we believe that the HST and HIC tables are yet to be updated.

REQUESTED ACTION: Please pay careful attention to the following information and communicate this onward to relevant individuals within your organization:

Marriott needed to change many legacy SPG Sabre rate codes to match existing Sabre rate codes in the Marriott CRS. These changes have been communicated via the Sabre automated Supervisory queue (S Queue). Due to the volume of existing rate codes, you will have experienced an increase in queue messages as the SPG brands were migrated through each cutover wave.

  • For all points of sale (e.g. GetThere, Concur, APIs, Sabre Red): Negotiated rate viewership will have been impacted until all appropriate viewership tables are updated.   
  • Adopting Sabre‚Äôs Hotel Program Manager tool may assist in getting the rate codes updated. 

IF RATES ARE NOT VIEWABLE (FOR SABRE AGENCIES) 

  • Update HIC/HST translation tables accordingly with current Rate Access Code for account.
  • If you do not know the current Rate Access Code, check the Rate Access Code that is listed in your translation table for the MC chain code. Use that code listed there.
  • If the translation table is updated but you still see no availability, contact Global Rate Support Team for further research.

Sabre GDS has been sending out reminders and product advisories to their subscriber base. Please contact your Sabre Account Director if you have any questions regarding the negotiated rate process, how to use Hotel Program Manager or any additional training needs.
