Season's greetings 2.jpg

Dear MoveAbility Friends,

As the end of the year is rapidly approaching, it is time to reflect on the activities accomplished, but also on our projects for the future. It marks the end of the 2016-2018 period, which is the period of implementation of the new business model.

The year 2018 was rich in both events and impacts on beneficiaries. We have supported nearly 50,000 people with disabilities through our partners in the field. We have helped them gain better access to quality rehabilitation services and products at affordable prices. And we have supported the establishment and action of the national platform in almost all the countries where we operate. This platform has enabled all disability stakeholders to come together and discuss with the authorities the solutions and activities to be implemented to allow people with physical disabilities to regain their mobility.

The celebrations of the International Day of Persons with Disabilities on December 3 shed light on some of the most touching and inspiring testimonies, such as Severine's, whom you will meet hereunder. This commemoration is an opportunity to increase the visibility of people with disabilities and to promote their rights.

It was also on this occasion that the United Nations published its first flagship report on disability and development

We wish you a pleasant reading and above all wonderful end-of-year celebrations.

We look forward to continuing our activities in 2019 and with your support to increase our impact so that as many people with disabilities as possible can develop their full potential in an inclusive society.

The MoveAbility Team
