12 States Sue Business Associate for 2015 Health Data Breach
A dozen states have filed a Federal lawsuit against Indiana-based Medical Informatics Engineering (MIE) and subsidiary NoMoreClipboard, over a 2015 hack that breached the data of more than 3.9 million patients nationwide. They all claim the electronic healthcare record vendor violated portions of HIPAA and other state regulations.

2.65M ATRIUM HEALTH PATIENT RECORDS BREACHED IN THIRD-PARTY VENDOR
The data of more than 2.65 million Atrium Health patients was breached for a week-long period, due to a cyberattack on the health system’s billing vendor AccuDoc Solutions in September.
