IMPORTANT: USMCA Signed In Buenos Aires

After months of negotiations, United States' President Donald Trump, Canada's Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and outgoing President of Mexico Enrique Peña Nieto met at the Group of 20 Nations Summit in Buenos Aires, Argentina. There, they participated in the official signing ceremony of the United States Mexico Canada Agreement.

Even though the agreement must be ratified by each country's legislature, the ceremony indicated a unified desire for the United States, Canada and Mexico to continue trade across North America. The updated agreement will replace the North America Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA), an agreement that has been in place for 24 years.
