 Happy Thanksgiving!

Thanksgiving is right around the corner, and that means the holiday season is officially underway. Whether you're meal planning for the holidays, shopping for the perfect gift, or getting ready to deck the halls, we're here to make sure you don't break the bank. Below, find a few tips to ease financial stress over the holidays as well as a blog post outlining how to make the most of your credit card rewards.

'Tis the season for... holiday shopping! Make sure your season is truly merry and avoid financial stress with a few simple steps.

Avoiding Financial Stress Around the Holidays

1. Set a budget. Resist the temptation to overspend by deciding ahead of time how much you are willing to spend on gifts, food, decor, and any other common holiday expenses.

2. Plan ahead. Before you head out to the stores for groceries or gifts, come up with a game plan. Gather any coupons you may have, decide what gifts you are going to buy for people. If you go into the stores with a game plan, you are much less likely to spend on impulse buys.

3. Get creative with gifts. A batch of delicious homemade cookies goes a long way during the holiday season. Take a look at your list of gift recipients, do they all really need a material gift? Coworkers and friends may not all need a gift, and will still appreciate the thoughtfulness of a home-baked treat.

It can sometimes be hard to not get caught up in the shopping craze, but don't forget to take time to enjoy the season.

Don't leave free money on the table this holiday season! When you use a Rewards Credit Card, you earn points which can be redeemed for great gift ideas like electronics, fashion jewelry, and gift cards!
