How to Become a Certified Information Professional (CIP)
Thinking about attaining your CIP? If not, a better question is WHY NOT? A couple years ago, I would have considered myself an association professional, but not a Certified Information Professional. But I was missing the big picture. CIP's understand how to leverage not only technologies but also IIM methodoligies to drive business strategies. Are you the person who asks--is this the most effective process? what will impact our customers the most? how can use this data to drive more business? Then I whole heartedly encourage you to join in the CIP information webinar.  I never thought I was a CIP, but then I realized, I am a CIP. As a member, you probably are too!

Applying Information Management to Project Planning

The AIIM18 presentations are launching for members this month! To help you understand the value of these stories, we invited Tammy MacKenzie, CIP--to share her story.

Plan Once, Succeed Twice: a project management success story

'So you just won that large bid/tender and you're excited to get started. The project team is assembled, the schedule is set and the data is flowing. Your stakeholders are seasoned professionals, so nothing can go wrong. Or can it? Mine is the journey of a Document/Records Manager in a new age of joint venture project collaboration. Hear my story about applying information management to project planning on the front end for two wins on the back end.'

Make the most of your membership and join Tammy in the VIP Lounge Thursday, July 19, at 11am ET.

Meet Mercedes Ward

I got a text at AIIM18: "Happy Thursday!! Just saying that I'm enjoying AIIM18!!! The format and speakers/topics are spot on!! The Staff, in a word? Awesome!! Exceeding all expectations!!"

Now, at 8am on day 2, this text couldn't have been any better received. We love our members and when we know our work is exceeding expectations--well, that just feels so good. We're a team here at AIIM, a true community, supportive of each other in our struggles and successes. This message was from a member, and true friend of AIIM, Mercedes Ward. Mercedes took the big dive and joined us in San Antonio this year. It was so wonderful connecting in person.

Learn more about the work Mercedes is doing for Clark County, NV. And look for the AIIM19 event site which launches this month!

Meet Mercedes.
