magazine-beach-volunteers-598097-edited

Start off July right by helping restore the wetlands at Magazine Beach Park in Cambridge! After removing many of the invasive plants, new shrubs and grasses need to be planted to restore wildlife habitat and help improve water quality in the Charles River. Learn more about our efforts here. Please wear clothes you don't mind getting dirty and rain boots, work boots, or old sneakers. Please bring a shovel if you have one! We will meet on Monday, July 2nd at 8am in the parking lot near the baseball diamond. See you there!

Monthly Water Quality Monitoring Sites Open

vmm

Help us continue one of the oldest and largest volunteer sampling programs in the country! Our volunteer monthly monitoring program engages over 80 volunteers who sample at 35 sites throughout the watershed once per month. Continuously running since 1995, the results from this sampling keep residents informed of the water quality in their backyard. You can read more about this exciting program here. At this time, we are seeking volunteers to sample in the Bellingham, Medfield, Needham, and Newton areas.
