The AIAG Traceability Work Group Needs Your Feedback!

In response to the additional traceability requirements introduced in IATF 16949:2016, as well as the need for a single reference manual on the subject, the AIAG Traceability Work Group is drafting a document highlighting traceability best practices for the industry—and we need your help. These guidelines will support the entire supply chain in implementing improved traceability tools and systems that best fit their individual products and services.

A key part of the draft is the inclusion of real and theoretical traceability scenarios that identify, highlight, and suggest key features and benefits of traceability systems. The intention of these scenarios is to provide a practical scope for traceability systems and outline their benefits and effectiveness.

That’s where you come in. Since the goal of the AIAG Traceability Work Group is to make sure that the completed document is as comprehensive and beneficial as possible, we hope you will share your thoughts on traceability suggestions or scenarios for inclusion in the guidelines. Please send your feedback to Brian Martensen at AIAG: bmartensen@aiag.org. Thank you in advance for your support!
