News from around the network
Dear Valued Member,

Fall is just around the corner, and there's never been a better time to be a member of the AirMedCare Network. Why? We've recently acquired Air Medical Resource Group (AMRG) of South Jordan, Utah, which has 62 base locations in 15 states, including Alaska and Hawaii.

What does this mean for you? Now you and your loved ones are protected in even more areas than ever before—over 320 locations across 39 states! Just take a look at our new coverage area map. Now you can enjoy even more peace of mind knowing you're protected far and wide—and that the value of your AMCN Membership continues to grow.

Do you or someone you know have a survivor story?
Please share it here!

Sincerely,

Keith Hovey

Testimonials
Allen and Bev Swaney
Allen & Bev Swaney
My husband Allen, 62, woke up non-verbal, slightly combative and drenched in sweat. I called 911 and our local ambulance transported him to the hospital 20 miles away, where the ER doctor advised us to go straight to Air Evac Lifeteam! Time was crucial as we all thought full blown stroke.
The Air Evac team in Weatherford, OK, were amazing! They knew what hospital we should go to, and at the hospital in Oklahoma City, they were so caring to me! I got a hug from each!! A few days later they all called to check on the progress of my husband. He was diagnosed with viral encephalitis and was in a coma, on life support for 10 days.

"When I was pregnant with my son, Kawika, I experienced some complications.
I was showing signs of premature labor, and it was the scariest time of my life! So many thoughts swirled through my head. I had to be airlifted to receive the care I needed for my condition. The Hawaii Life Flight crew were so knowledgeable, caring and calm during the entire ordeal. They will always be a part of my son's journey of life!" — Lei-Ann Vasquez

EagleMed and Wesley Trauma Team Up

Wichita, KS – Trauma professionals, physicians, critical care nurses and others involved with patient care visited the EagleMed base in Wichita on July 25th for a collaborative exercise in air medical emergency transport. The goal of the exercise was to improve patient care and help build a stronger working relationship between the ground and air teams.

More than a dozen trauma and critical care team members from Wesley participated in medical scenarios in the trailer using simulation manikins. Participants then suited up in flight suits and helmets and took actual flights to Wesley's rooftop helipad to gain the real-life experience on the aircraft. These opportunities give the Wesley trauma team a better perspective on the constraints and challenges in the pre-hospital setting.
