Evaluation of Settling Behavior of UltraHealth Hybrid Contact Lenses Fitted on Keratoconic Eyes

Hybrid lenses, similar to scleral lenses, settle after the initial fit, reducing the apical clearance. The amount of settling as well as the amount of time for the settling to occur varies from patient to patient.

The purpose of the study was to evaluate the settling behavior and amount of time needed with UltraHealth hybrid contact lenses on keratoconic eyes. And further, to determine if there is a way to predict the amount of settling based on the first minutes of wear.
