Dunkin' puts a turbo shot in its app

A combination of "DD Perks" rewards and the pandemic have given Dunkin' a surge of mobile app users. Users can pay ahead to walk in and pick up their order without having to stand directly in front of another human. If you do not order ahead, you can pay via the app so a credit card never has to change hands or be put in a public terminal. Starbucks has these app features as well though but its app is not in a growth phase like Dunkin's is. The more you use the app to make purchases, the more free stuff you get, such as a free drink or breakfast sandwich. Over the past three weeks the company has also been offering "Free Donut Fridays" with purchase of a drink to members of its Perks program.

Tinder crosses borders and cultures

I did not expect to find that Tinder would be the leader in acquiring new users for dating apps in the Middle East and Northern Africa (MENA), but I did. Tinder is known for casual hookups and even publishes a magazine called Swipe Life that at times glamorizes the lifestyle of easily accessible sexcapades. In countries where dating is done more conservatively than in the Western hemisphere, it didn't feel like Tinder would be a fit. Outside of Tinder's large lead, Hawaya is making a name for itself. It brands itself as a Muslim dating app and its largest market is actually Indonesia. Bumble, a top competitor to Tinder in the United States, just sneaks in here. Data is from a grouping of several countries in MENA: Turkey, Saudi Arabia, UAE, Egypt, Kuwait and Israel.

IDFA - what your peers aren’t saying publicly

We’ve created a brief and anonymous survey for attribution networks, ad networks, retargeting platforms, DSPs and app publishers to take - each with a specific set of questions crafted for them. Our goal is and has always been to increase transparency in the mobile world. The IDFA changes will impact all of our work, and there are still many things that haven’t been made clear. As soon as we have the results and data back from this survey, we’ll make sure to share it with you. We’re hoping you’ll play a part in creating it!

Everyone's talking about crypto again and I refuse to be left out (FOMO is a killer). In July, the top 10 crypto wallet apps increased net new installs approximately 81.4% YoY. July was the best performing month on record for this market.
