You don't have to go home but you can't stay here

Microsoft's live streaming service Mixer has been around since 2014 but it wasn't put on the map until 2019 when it signed professional video game player celebrity, Ninja, to come over from Twitch. Mixer announced it would be shutting down this summer and partnering with Facebook. Mixer users are being asked to sign up with Facebook Gaming, which has already surpassed (just slightly) Mixer in DAU and with only an Android app. Together, they are hoping to take on Twitch. Microsoft and Facebook are also set to work together on Microsoft's xCloud, a soon-to-launch game streaming service that enables viewers to click and immediately play games that people are streaming.

Buy/sell marketplaces are filling several needs

Like almost everything, top buy/sell marketplaces slumped in parts of March and April due to the onset of the pandemic. However, they all bounced back and grew stronger, save for Poshmark. Craigslist is also an app that bounced back strong but by the time I remembered it, I had already finished this image, so, what are ya gonna do? Ebay actually had its biggest day of downloads in about five years on June 12th, 2020. So why are these doing so well right now? I think it's two things; a massive number of people have lost their jobs and they are in search of goods that cost less or in need of selling items to bring in some money for the family. Also, there are certain things that are just out of stock at your local supermarket and/or Target (disinfecting wipes) that you can find plenty of (overpriced though) on an app like eBay.
