As part of the awareness campaign, we would like to bring to your attention the following developments and updates related to the prevention of COVID-19 spread.

Dubai Sterilisation Program is intensified and extended for 24 hours for the period of 2 weeks from Saturday, 4th April.
STAY HOME rule applies to everyone apart from vital sector workers.

🛂 Move Permit Required for All

Dubai residents must obtain prior permission each time they leave their homes including going for grocery shopping as part of efforts to curb the spread of coronavirus.

Before every journey outside, please fill up the application required by UAE Government.

📄 Keep your shopping receipts handy!

Shopping receipts required as a proof to present to Dubai Police if stopped by a patrol or detected by radar.

Roads are now intensively patrolled by Dubai Police for the check-ups of: move permits, Emirates IDs and shopping receipts.

Dubai Metro, tram operations, intercity bus services are suspended from April 5 until further notice. The buses continue to operate. Please ensure to regularly check for updates from official sources.

😷 Wear Masks and Gloves

Only one member of a household will be allowed to leave home for essential shopping and they must wear a mask and gloves at all times.

Those found violating the movements restrictions will face stringent legal action.

Beware of Scam, Rumours and Fake News

UAE residents have been warned against an increase in fraudulent activities since the onset of the Covid-19 coronavirus, especially scams related to advance fee and cloning of genuine companies based in Dubai such as creation of fake websites or emails.

A lot of information circulating online some of which is inaccurate or even fake. Please stay calm and ensure to verify the content you receive as well as avoid spreading any unverified information.

Spreading rumours or fake information even unintentionally is punishable by law and may results in fines and imprisonment.

REMINDER: Protecting Yourself and Others @ MU

MODUL Dubai reminds and requests any member of MODUL who has recently travelled outside the UAE or has been in touch with a suspected or confirmed individual with COVID-19 to inform MODUL Dubai administration instantly to receive further guidance via the following address:
Considering the circumstances and in line with the Government directives, for all holders of the valid UAE residence visas and valid insurances, it is strongly recommended to avoid any travel unless it is urgently required.
In light with the KHDA directives, any students or staff members of MODUL University Dubai must declare their recent and upcoming travel arrangements and shall upon return to the UAE from ANY country self-isolate for the period of 14 calendar days irrespective of whether they have any symptoms or not.

In all cases of novel coronavirus in the UAE, patients are treated free of charge. Please ensure to cross check that your insurance cards (or e-cards) are valid and accurate. Please refer to the Dubai Health Authority website and official channels to learn more about it.
