Americans Abroad Urged to Return Home

Wednesday, April 1, 2020

Secretary of State, Mike Pompeo, urged American abroad who want to return to the US to do so immediately.

In an announcement Wednesday morning, Pompeo says, "Americans who wish to return home from abroad should so immediately and make arrangements to accomplish that."

Citing the quickly evolving state of commercial flight availability and border restrictions around the world, Americans are urged to return home immediately if they desire to do so.

Americans abroad are also encouraged to register with their nearest embassy or consulate, or to do so online via the State Department's Smart Traveler Enrollment Program (STEP). STEP provides Americans with risk alerts and communication channels available to them when traveling internationally.

CTM is currently reviewing international reservations to ensure all travelers have been repatriated as needed. Travelers are encouraged to contact their CTM team for any assistance in returning from abroad.

CTM will continue to monitor government advisories and provide additional information as it becomes available.

We take every care to ensure information is correct at time of release, but occasions resulting from the advice are the responsibility of the individual and/or your company.
