California & New York Issue Statewide Orders
The governors of California and New York have announced statewide orders for all residents to stay at home except for essential needs. Dine-in restaurants, bars, entertainment venues, gyms, public events, and convention centers have all been ordered to close, while services such as pharmacies, grocery stores, and gas stations remain open. The orders are expected to remain in effect for at least 8 weeks.
Travelers and residents of other states should anticipate similar restrictions, particularly in areas with significant spread of COVID-19 (such as Washington and New Jersey). Confirmed cases have been reported in all 50 states.
The CDC has posted advice for travelers, amid concerns around COVID-19, including travel health notices by country. You can access the latest CDC information here.
