This year's winner of Civil Service Diversity and Inclusion Award 2019 was Bristol Race Network.

The Bristol Race Network have made an outstanding contribution in championing HMRC’s ambition for a more inclusive workplace. The cross-directorate Network commenced in January 2018 and has since played a pivotal role especially when recent racial incidents were reported in HMRC in Bristol. Aimhigher London’s Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) Staff Development Conference

Department for Education to fund assistive technology trials for pupils with special educational needs and disabilities

The pilots will run from April 2020 until the end of the 2020-21 academic year and will assess the impact of different types of assistive technology for pupils with special educational needs, informing best practice on the tools which could help pupils in the classroom. The trials will include ‘text-to-speech’ and ‘speech recognition’ software, as well as ‘eye-gaze’ technology. Read More
