Are you in good hands?

Not much separates the top insurance apps as it pertains to downloads. And their 2019 downloads mostly tell a story of steadiness (maybe stagnation). However, Allstate was able to have a two month run for the ages before shooting back down to reality. Allstate is a longtime sponsor of the NFL and NCAA which leads me to believe there was a big push during the NFL regular season to get its customers onto its mobile app. In case you're wondering where Farmers Insurance is, its average monthly downloads were 88% less than the lowest provider here so I didn't include them in the chart.

Tech finds its way into every corner of society, even jail

Your local prison might have just introduced a tech upgrade for visitation. GettingOut Visits is an app on the rise for inmates. It enables video visitation; so really it's a specialty built Facetime app. The app says it is "currently available at select facilities." This leads me to believe it is individual prisons deciding to on-board the app and pay for it. With more than 2,200 prisons in the United States and close to 1% of the population being locked up, there's somewhat of an addressable market here... I guess. But in all seriousness, I think this is a good thing for inmates as it will hopefully lead to them being able to see loved ones more often.
