News From the NetWorks

Note from the Chest Infections NetWork Chair…

It has been a busy time for the Chest Infections NetWork with preparation for CHEST 2019 and with the spring steering committee elections. We had a significant interest in the NetWork with highly qualified applicants. Those elected will be notified soon, and we hope that others continue to be engaged with the NetWork and apply again for steering committee positions. We expect again to have a robust Chest Infections track at CHEST 2019. We hope to see everyone there and at the NetWorks Mixer.

Please designate the Chest Infections NetWork as one of your primary NetWorks on your NetWorks page to stay up to date on happenings.

It has been an honor to serve as NetWork Chair for the last 2 years. I learned a lot and enjoyed working with all NetWork members and CHEST staff.

Raed Alalawi, MD, FCCP
Chair, Chest Infections NetWork

Marcos Restrepo Chest Infections

As the upcoming Chair of the Chest Infections NetWork, I would like to show our utmost gratitude to Dr. Raed Alalawi for his service to our organization and NetWork. He was instrumental in the proposal of elegantly developed scientific contributions and presentations from the past 4 years. I would like to invite everyone to come to our NetWork Featured Lecture and Open Forum and participate in all the activities that our steering committee has placed together to further advance the mission of our organization from the lenses of chest infections. It will be an honor for me to serve CHEST in this role and hope that with all your help, we will continue to strive for a better future of our patients with respiratory infections.
