Corrine Young Interprofessional NW

I have been a nurse practitioner in pulmonary, critical care, and sleep medicine going on 15 years and was lucky enough to join the Interprofessional NetWork in 2015. Joining this NetWork opened up doors to serve in other NetWorks and focus groups within CHEST, which provided me the prowess to start the Association of Pulmonary Advanced Practice Providers, a national nonprofit organization for NPs and PAs working in the realm of pulmonary medicine. Being involved in the NetWorks has also provided me the opportunity to meet amazing professionals I would not have previously had access to working in a private practice in Colorado Springs. These professionals inspired me to apply and become a FCCP through CHEST. Because of my involvement at CHEST, I was lucky enough to be nominated by another NetWork’s Steering Committee member and then elected to serve on the ABIM’s Pulmonary Disease Board. My personal life is filled attempting to raise two resilient girls and team roping with my very patient husband.

Corinne Young, NP-C, MSN, FCCP
Steering Committee Member, Interprofessional Team NetWork
