UVM CEMS Quarterly Update
A Note from Dean Linda Schadler

Welcome to the CEMS quarterly update. I am excited to share the new CEMS strategic plan with you – CEMS ON THE MOVE. This was developed through an inclusive process called scenario planning. The process gathered input from alumni, students, faculty, and staff and included two workshops, departmental review, board of advisor review, and was approved unanimously at our spring college meeting. I hope you have a few minutes to take a peek – we have an exciting future ahead!

Screen Shot 2019-06-13 at 3.28.38 PMIt is also with great sadness that we share the passing of Professor Darren Hitt. Professor Hitt was a valued and beloved member of our community, and his passing has left a big hole in CEMS.

You will also find information below on commencement, student design projects, awards, a successful NetSci conference, and more. There is much to celebrate.

I look forward to seeing you on campus sometime this fall and showing you the completed STEM complex. It is an exciting change for the college and the space is beautiful!
